Glasstastic Treasures - Re: Giveaways.  Do a search on Google for running giveaways or however you want to phrase it. I was told there are a few sites that list giveaways.  The other way is to use Twitter (if you are on Twitter! - Twitter is a huge help for getting giveaways started)

I am a small, very small business, with very little following.  Most of what you are writing about is information for businesses that already have a following, customers, interested parties, etc.  I don't.  So how can I begin to work with what your suggestions if I have nothing to start with.  What I really signed up for was to learn how a new business, with little sales and few customers can become a profitable shop.

Everybody starts out with zero followers.

Currently, there is no way for people here to follow you - I would suggest starting a Facebook business page, if you haven't already done so, then post the link in your Artfire forum signature.

I have gotten 34 new followers in one week just from these Boot Camp threads.  When I see somebody new to me in the forums and they have Facebook and Twitter links in their signatures - I follow them.

Like many things in life, it works better if you focus more on what you're giving than what you're getting.

Check out this thread to see how an Artfire seller is making sales using Facebook.  (she started with zero followers, same as everybody else:

And here is a thread where people are sharing their Facebook links with each other.

Hey, that's the thready I started!  Glad it's gotten so much renewed interest.

As for my fb fans, I started around Christmas, and about 21 of my fans are personal friends that came over from my personal page.  A few of them buy stuff....like my mom, LOL.  The remaining 1100 or so are from advertising, connecting with other sellers here, and from when my fans share my links or page on their personal page...which actually happens a lot.  I love my fb fans, though I've never met any of them in person.  They're very interactive, they're kind, and they give me a lot of validation for the work I do.

Okay,

I've spent the past four hours trying to insert the Artfire kiosk to my fb page and profile and the AF 'HOW TO' get the kiosk on fb post is too old and it's now inaccurate. All I can get posted to my facebook profile page is the AF kiosk information - my actual studio page kiosk tab does NOT come up AT ALL! I am totally frustrated!

I had major problems getting my kiosk up on my page...it kept taking me back to the same screen and never seemed to load it.  Then I walked away from the computer for a few hours, and came back and found it in a tab on my fb wall, all up and running.  Might be a glitch.

Hi earthegy,

I looked and looked for a tab, all over the place and can't find it.  Don't know what I'm missing  :-(((

Changed my URL to not have the numbers and it turned out to be a bummer. Jan E O Jewelry was coming out on top of list on Google. Jan E O's Jewelry doesn't even show up on first page. Should have left it alone. Bummer that you can undo it when you make a mistake like that. I know they warn you, but darn.
