@ColorMeVintage It's my understanding that you have to use a 3rd party application, but I don't think it has to be Wildfire. What I'm not clear about is if you could do it on your blog and use networked blogs, which is a 3rd party application, to bring the info to Facebook. The guidelines are way clearer than they used to be, but still leave room for interpretation in my mind.
Wow - I thought I knew Facebook quite well but I had't heard of 3 of the apps mentioned! Thank you for that. It's interesting being on the other side of the world (New Zealand) as I (and other NZ creative businesses I know) notice the same pattern of engagement here - 1st thing in the morning, early evening and late at night. The time difference makes it interesting if you are wanting to target both your NZ/Australian customers and your American and European customers!! One Facebook App I didn't see mentioned was 'Shop Now' this is free and creates a shop tab where you can load listings etc and displays as an attractive storefont. Thanks again, Mel
After checking this out, am I reading this correctly regarding giveaways???
-You have to use the Promotion app on facebook
-To use the Promotion app you have to sign up with Wildfire
-Wildfire charges $5 + $0.99/day per campaign, or "giveaway"?
Isn't there a free way to do this and still be within FB rules?
you can always check out the app directory on facebook...if you search around there I'm sure there are similar alternatives that are free...
you can also search under the business section in the app directory...I'm sure there are tons of business apps in general that you may be able to use...
