I just shortened my URL of both my personal page and my business page. It was very easy to do. No more tiny URLs! It will be much easier to create links and tell people where to go to.

I have found that FB will only register "likes" made from personal profile, so what I do is like from my personal page...drop a note like "Hi from AF...", then I either go to "link" and enter my "Page URL" click "Attach" which attaches my logo and a link to my "Page" or I will complete the note by typing @AMDesignsbyAngela which creates a link within the note...after you type @ a drop down will appear after you type the next character, your page name should be in the drop down list...

So just to recap..."like" from your personal page and then provide a link to your "Page (Fan Page, Business Profile)" either by using the link button to attach a link or by using the @ key to create a link within the message.

I complete the process by then using the "Add to my page's favorites" in the left column beneath the liked pages list...I will hide posts from the liked pages on my personal page.

That's a great idea!  I've been wondering how to handle the whole personal/business page dynamic to make them connect better.  We get a lot of hits from simply including a keyword link to our website and fan page in email signatures and the like.  It adds up over time!

The best way to promote each other, place a link of each other work/shop on their wall.

Ok, so here is my big question as I haven't seen it addressed...what is the etiquette on posting on others pages?
I am reading that some don't like people posting, I just fanned you, I just liked you...on their pages. Should you just "like" the page and not post anything on their page and also, how does that person know to "like" you back, if you don't post a link on their page, especially since we should be "liking" them as our personal profile so that it counts towards the tally on their page?
As an aside, I do participate in Link Love and have a topic under my Discussions section to follow back those that participate. Would it be helpful to have separate topics for others to post their FB links, Twitter links etc?
I have always been unclear on the correct etiquette and even more so the last few days, with this first assignment of the bootcamp. I don't want to offend anyone which would really defeat the whole process!

I didn't know you could do it this way too.  I'll have to try it out and see if it's easier.

I'm curious what others think about this too.  I don't mind at all when people post on my wall.  I think it helps my poor page look more active.  I would think people would want you to post...isn't that what FB is for?... but maybe I'm wrong.  Maybe it depends on what you say?  I never ask for a reciprocal like.  It's up to them whether or not they want to do that.  I just leave a short message telling them who I am and where I came from. I hope I'm being as polite as possible.

I guess it's a matter of your own level of comfort. I have had a few "hi from bootcamp here's my link posts", and any other time link dropping on my page would not make me happy, coming from other sellers especially. If I were getting 20-30-40 of those a day I would definitely be deleting each of the posts. I also don't drop my links on anyone else's page and only comment on their posts as my page persona very sparingly. I hate being spammed and I assume no one really likes it.

I don't need a flood of artfire listings and pimping taking over my personal news feed, I want to see what my family and real life friends are up to first and foremost. so I don't go on campaigns to get "likes". I want true fans and I want to keep up with other businesses I have a true interest in, those businesses I add to my fan pages favorites and interact from the fan page news feed as my business persona or personal self and that is what is comfortable for me .
