Yes, Elvis was arrested in 1956 for getting into a gas station brawl. How 1950's, right?

It was right at the start of his fame and as he was driving to get gas, he managed to attract a rather large crowd of loiterers. The gas station owner got mad, and well, Elvis couldn't contain his frustration.

Elvis does have a mugshot taken some time in the 70's---you can tell by his hair and sunglasses---but this is a fake. It was taken at his request because, as it turns out, he was rather fond of mugshots.
