Details
This is our very own needle felted interpretation of the Phoenix mythology, with a female companion protecting the egg and therefore becoming part of the cycle or renewal and opportunity.
Our Phoenix measures approximately 10" and has solid copper wire in the legs. The legs are attached to a mosaic cube of an ancient byzantine floor (you can find those in our fields).
The base is a pebble covered in wet-felted wool. Therefore the flamingo stands very solid on its own.
The little lady is completely needle felted, as well as the egg and the tabouret she sits on.
This felted one of a kind art work is meant for display as you can see in the pictures and not for play by very small children, due to the wiring and the small seed-bead eyes of the flamingo.
