These "Grah-Toe Studio GPS's" are a perfect reward for little scout going on an adventure, to put on your walking staff or just to add to your outdoor survival kit. We have secured the compass into the antler and it has a rawhide loop. We also have these in wood. Please convo us if you need a specific length loop of rawhide.
This piece of antler, called a button, is from the base of the antler where it attaches to the skull and is a highly prized piece of material. it is roughly 2 inches across the middle. It has fabulous light brown color and texture, a piece of art all on its own! We carved a Bear paw print in the back side! this is a true piece of art! This button comes from a mule deer here in Utah or the surrounding area. Great gift for Dad, graduating Eagle Scout or anyone who does alot of backwoods time.
Disclaimer: a compass cannot help you in a survival situation if you do not know how to use it! please be sure to understand how it works!
Antlers are shed and regrown every year by deer and elk. No animals were harmed to acquire these antlers. Local "shed hunters" go around during the shedding season and collect them off of the ground. They are extremely strong and a renewbale resource. And they look really cool!
