Captured Worlds - Blown Glass Bubble-Encased Marble
Looking across and through the glass is like looking into three small worlds with the delicate ribbons of ruby holding them in a sea of crystal. As this piece was coming out of the glory, we could tell it would be special. The way the bubbles perched inside, with the delicate ivory leading up to them, seemed like stepping stones to heaven. The colors, so brilliant, and the interior, so clear... It's captivating.
Please go here to see it rotate and sparkle in the sunshine. It's at the bottom of the page: http://losturemarbles.com/art-glass-marbles.html
The glass is over 1 1/2" wide with pale red and ruby and little wisps of ivory twisting around three large captured bubbles together in the crystal. There is a minor indent near the bottom where a fourth bubble broke free.
This is a one-of-a-kind work of art, so your piece will be unique in the universe. And as a work of art, it is signed by the artists.
All of my pieces are created in our smoke-free mountaintop glass studio in the hills of California. Since each piece is created by hand, by me, no two will ever be the same, so if you like it, it's best to not wait.
