Emotional: Helps one to stabilize emotions, eliminate contradiction and create a sense of connection between all worlds during travel out of body.

The Garnet is known as the stone for a successful business. If your business is not as good as it should be, just put 3 or more garnets on your desk. It is believed that if a garnet is put under a pillow it will cure depression. Garnets can be used to make a person popular and have self-esteem when worn as jewelry. It helps protect one on trips. Garnets bring constancy to friendships.
Garnet activates a willingness to serve others while remaining true to oneself. Assists one in being committed to ones self as well as to others and to the causes that one respects and holds dear.
Physical: Activates the second chakra and increases the creative energy. Equalizes sexual energy, repairs damage to DNA and enhances the body in assimilation of iodine, calcium, magnesium and vitamin A and E.
Emotional: Helps to integrate experiences and assist one in self- discovery. Provides a protective influence, a connection to other dimensions. Helps one to recognize flashes of insight and apply them in the appropriate place in one's life.
Types of Garnet
Garnets are a related group of minerals. Members of this group include: almandine (red to violet red); spessartite (yellow, rose, or orange to reddish-brown); pyrope (deep red); grossular (white, yellow, yellow-green, brownish-red, orange or black); andradite (colorless, yellow-green, or brown to black). The most prized garnet is an emerald green variety called demantoid and is a member of the adradite group.
Healing properties of Garnet
Garnet comes in many colors, but now we will speak only about red Garnet. The Garnet is associated with the thyroid and spleen. It helps cleanse and purify both when held over the area. The Garnet is usually held in the hand or placed on top of the head when searching or meditating on past lives. Information that is beneficial and helpful will usually be released for the searcher.
The Garnet is a stone of purity and truth as well as a symbol of love and compassion. The information released in a search may be painful, but it will always be what the searcher needs. The Garnet will help everyone's security level and spiritual awareness. It can help increase the sex drive.
Sources of Garnet
Currently, the world's largest supply of garnets is the continent of Africa. In December 1996, a student in Central Australia discovered what is thought to be the largest single garnet ever found - measuring nearly one hundred feet across! Other sources of garnet include India, Soviet Union, Brazil and the United States.

Obsidian is formed as lava from volcanic eruptions cools within the earth. The speed at which it cools prevents crystallization and the rock forms as solid volcanic glass.
Obsidian helps to protect the very sensitive against depression. It is the stone of the soft hearted and gentle people of the world. Use obsidian to help block negativity of any kind. As a black gemstone, it symbolizes self control and resilience. Black stones have protective energies in the sense that black is the absence of light, and therefore, can be used to create invisibility.
Although its most common color is black, obsidian can also be found in light brown, brown mottled with black, and black with a beautiful golden or silvery sheen. Snowflake obsidian is dotted with white patches where parts of the rock have begun to crystallize. The most prized obsidian by gemologists is the rainbow obsidian variety with purple, green and gold bands of sheen.
Obsidian can be found anywhere that volcanic activity has occurred. Some of its important sources today are South America, Japan, Mexico, Afghanistan, and parts of the United States. The San Carlos Apache Reservation in Arizona, United States, produces an interesting banded variety of obsidian known as "Apache Tears".

Native American Indians are a deeply spiritual people and they communicate their history, thoughts, ideas and dreams from generation to generation through symbols and signs such as the Zuni Bear symbol. Native American symbols are geometric portrayals of celestial bodies, natural phenomena and animal designs. The Bear symbolizes the most powerful of animals who is believed to be the Guardian of the West and has the power to heal and to transform passions into true wisdom.

The Zuni Bear Symbol - Fetish
Many Native American Indians have used fetishes throughout history; especially the Zuni tribe of Southwest Indians A fetish is an object which is believed to have magic powers. Native Americans of the Zuni tribe believe if you place a small amount of corn meal under the nose of a Zuni Bear image when you leave your home to protect it while away. It is believed to have inherent powers or qualities that may aid the owner. Its strength is therefore passed on to the owner. The meaning of the Heartline symbol was to signify life force. The Zuni Native American Indians strongly believe in six cardinal guardian fetishes - the bear, badger, mountain lion, wolf, mole and the eagle.

The Zuni Bear Symbol - Meaning

Due to the great number of Native American Indian tribes it is only possible to generalize the most common meaning of the Zuni Bear symbol or pattern. Native Indian symbols are still used as Tattoos and were used for a variety of reasons and depicted on numerous objects such as tepees, totem poles, musical instruments, clothes and war paint. Indian Tribes also used their own colors for symbols and designs depending on the natural resources available to make Native American paint.
Native American Indians have a highly complex culture, especially those who lived on the Great Plains. Their religion is dominated by rituals and belief in a spiritual connection with nature and these beliefs are reflected in the various symbols they used such as the Zuni Bear symbol. The clothes, tepees and all of one's belongings was decorated with art and included symbols depicting ones achievements, acts of heroism, various spirit guides or the most important events in their life. Every symbol used by an American Native Indian has meaning.

The materials used to make my jewelry is of good quality. I am not a fan of base metals and fancy plastic findings. I do not use this type of material in most of my jewelry pieces, and insist on precious metals such as sterling silver and gold for earrings, rings, and my higher end bracelets. Gemstones used in my jewelry pieces are natural, and not lab created except for Cubic Zirconia's. CZ's are an exception to the rule because of their incredible sparkle and durability.

Beaded Bookmarks are made with natural gemstone beads but findings (charms, crimp beads, and wire) are made with base metals to keep the final price down.

Memory Wire bracelets are made with natural gemstone beads strung on Stainless Steel Memory Wire, accented with silver plated beads or charms, and contain some base metal head or eye pins. The purpose is to keep the cost down, and make them more affordable to the consumer.
