Cerulean Blue Faceted Agate Bali Copper OOAK 21 inch Necklace
Beautiful Cerulean blue faceted agate gemstones and antique copper Bali beads makes this a real attention-getting necklace. This high-class necklace was designed by me using beautifully faceted cerulean blue agate gemstones which I will name "My Blue Heaven". Cerulean blue is a hue ranging roughly between blue and cyan and pairs wonderfully with the warmth of the antique copper. This color was first used around 1590, but wasn't widely marketed until the 1860s in England by George Rowney who referred to the color as “Coeruleum.” The modern name, Cerulean, is derived from the Latin word "caeruleus," which means dark blue or blue-green, and the words "caerulum" or "caelum," which translate to heaven or sky. Agate is one of my favorite gemstones to use whether they are natural colors or color enhanced. These particular agates come from Brazil and are color enhanced to this beautiful blue color. The color does not fade or wear off. The antique copper Bali style beads in the front are large and decorated with circles and a twisted rope design. The smaller round antique copper metal beads are a match for the larger ones. Further up the necklace are antique copper tubes beads with a beautiful pattern. I used turquoise colored SoftFlex beading wire which is produced in the United States. I select this product for it's longevity as they use 49 strands of wire twisted and coated for security and longevity. I also used antique copper wire guards to further protect the wire from wear.
To finish off the necklace I selected Via Murano decorative crimps in a shade called Bella Flame. Via Murano products are produced in the United States. For the closure I used a warm antique copper toggle with a leaf design on both the toggle ring and bar. The toggle is produced by TierraCast here in the United States. The overall length of this necklace is 21 inches or 53 centimeters in length. Please check out the photo gallery to see the close images of the stones, beads and findings used.
This necklace will come with a complimentary jewelry pouch. Perfect for storage or gift-giving. As an added bonus, I will include a pair of simple matching earrings using the same agate gemstones and antique copper hypoallergenic leverbacks that are produced in the United States. You can view the earrings in the photo gallery.
Caring for your necklace: To enjoy your jewelry for many years takes some care. Most stones are quite strong, but try to avoid dropping or banging your jewelry against hard objects as the stones can crack or break. Don't leave your jewelry in direct sunlight. Store your jewelry as you would any delicate item. Storing in the original box is good, or in a jewelry box. Don't let items bang into each other. Personally, I make a loose coil of my necklaces and keep each and keep them in the jewelry pouch. Keep chemicals such as perfume, lotions and make-up away from your jewelry. Rule of thumb, make your jewelry the last thing you put on, and the first thing you take off.
To keep your jewelry clean you can wipe your stones with a soft cloth, or you can use a damp cloth when needed. I strongly advise against immersing your jewelry in water. Never use harsh abrasives or cleaners.

Note: Please be aware that not all monitors will show colors exactly the same. The colors may appear lighter or darker based on the type of monitor you have. As I edit my photos I ensure they are as exact as they can be to my jewelry pieces. Natural and artificial lighting can enhance or diffuse shades of stones and crystals as you wear them. I also use different backgrounds in my photos so that you can see some of the color variance. Enjoy!
