Antique Qing Heart Shaped Shard Pendant Beaded Necklace, Amethyst, Cape Amethyst,Vintage Japanese Purple Millefiori Glass, Bali Gold Beads
Antique Qing Dynasty Porcelain Shard ( 1644-1911) with Ornate Gold Bezel, Vintage 1970s Japanese Purple teardrop Millefiori Glass Beads, Vintage Cape Amethyst Beads,Vintage Amethyst beads,Ornate Gold Beads
An exquisite Qing porcelain shard set in an ornate gold bezel hangs from coordinating vintage stone beads in shades of violet , deep purple, and rich teal blue.
◉ Please note:
Many people sell such shards as 'antiques' and not the reproductions that they truly are and that are currently being exported from China.
I have the documentation to prove that this is indeed a genuine Qing Dynasty ( 1644- 1911) as I purchased a few of them during a buying trip to Hong Kong during the late 1970's.
◉ You will be provided with a copy of this document with this necklace.◉
This approximately 24" necklace has been hand knotted on silk cord which I have dyed to match the cape amethyst beads. It has been finished with a gold filled vintage lobster clasp for security purposes.
These lovely vintage cape amethyst beads are 8mm ( there are 25mm to the inch ) . Vintage deep purple amethyst beads in a 12mm size ( approximately 1/2" ) add a richness of color and sit between deep teal blue glass beads for a pop of color.
◉ All the stone beads which I use were personally selected by me in Hong Kong during the 1970s-1980s when the standards of cutting were meticulous. Nowadays, stone beads are being cut and imported from India where the labor is cheap, the beads are not always perfectly round, nor do they have an even polish and many times they are not even drilled all the way through .◉
The vintage Japanese millefiori purple teardrop glass beads were specially imported by me in the early 1980s when I incorporated them in a design with cape amethyst that I did for the Smithsonian's Museum of Natural History's museum shop and mail order catalogs.
These teardrop glass beads have a matte finish and are approximately 1" long and 1/2" at their widest part.
Finally ornate gold plated pewter beads add a bit of sparkle and their ornateness compliments the ornate gold bezel on the shard.
►Millifiori' literally means “thousand flowers”. To make such beads, thin rods of different colors of glass are bundled together, with the ends of the rods forming a design, such as flowers. The bundle is fused together, then cross section slices are cut off, jelly-roll fashion. These slices are applied and melted over a glass core. The resulting bead has a three dimensional look filled with flowers or other patterns.◀

We will continue to refund to customers any amount that greatly exceeds our actual cost of shipping and handling.
ORDERS OUTSIDE USA: International First Class rates are now crazy: $16.50 for any package weighing from 1-5 ounces. Even an order for 2-3 small bead items may cost $16.50 or more, depending on the type of material (stone versus resin, for example). We apologize in advance if we have to adjust the postage cost of an order that has been placed. We will understand if an order is rescinded when the postage cost is too high relative to the product value.
All international orders have contents described as "loose beads" and are flagged as "commercial samples" or " gift" if you prefer to make your life easier when receiving your beads. If you'd like us to mark your order as " gift" instead please let us know!
All our beads are inspected one by one before being shipped. They are individually wrapped to protect them and then put in little plastic ziploc bags.

Love my beads! The coloring in the epidote was not as intense as illustrated, but it is certainly a good example of the mineral. The colors in the unakite beads are wonderful. The quality of the carving I would rate as good to excellent.
Nice beads!! Super fast thanks a lot!!!
I have dreamed of having a necklace such as the jade one. But the red one. That was a surprise. Both are beautiful. Thank you! Best, Jane
Lovely color;!interesting stones.
When I thought that I had ordered two of these and then checked out I had to order another set. The seller was very kind and combined my two orders and refunded my shipping.
