Vintage 1970s Black White Yellow Tensha Bead Earrings,Vintage Large Oval Amber Faceted Lucite Bead
Vintage 1970s Japanese Black,White Butterscotch Yellow Flower Beads, Vintage 1950s German amber faceted large faceted crystal lucite oval bead, Vintage 1940s Japanese lampwork amber glass bead, brass
Long, dramatic earrings that feature 3 different vintage beads from the 1940s,1950s,and 1970s.
The tensha bead was found in London on Portobello Road ( the antique district ) in the early 1980s and is a dramatic bead - the white and butterscotch yellow flowers are in sharp contrast to the black background. This bead is approximately 5/8" in diameter.
◉ As a point of information : "Tensha" in Japanese means "transfer" in English.
Japanese Tensha beads are lightweight and were handmade by applying a beautiful detailed decal to an acrylic or porcelain bead. This bead is then sealed with an acrylic coating to protect it.
Gold or silver foil accents are often used to highlight these stunning beads.
The tensha bead is separated from the large German 1950s oval faceted lucite bead ( which is 1" long x 5/8" in width ) by two different antiqued brass bead caps which coordinate with the 1 1/4" long antiqued brass kidney wires.
This lucite crystal faceted bead is beautifully translucent and reminds me of a piece of rootbeer candy!
Finally at the very top of these earrings is a little 1940s Japanese colored glass bead - also root beer colored.
Total length of these long earrings, including the long kidney ear wire is approximately 3 1/4" -
★ They will arrive in a little box tied with a pretty bow all ready for gift giving.★

IMPORTANT NOTICE: POSTAGE RATES HAVE RISEN DRAMATICALLY IN 2020
ORDERS INSIDE USA: A charge of $4.00 covers any first class shipment up to 15 ounces. Our beads vary so much in weight that it is impossible for us to apply a single add-on charge for multiple product orders. We will continue to refund to customers any amount that greatly exceeds our actual cost of shipping and handling.
ORDERS OUTSIDE USA: International First Class rates are now crazy: $16.50 for any package weighing from 1-5 ounces. Even an order for 2-3 small bead items may cost $16.50 or more, depending on the type of material (stone versus resin, for example). We apologize in advance if we have to adjust the postage cost of an order that has been placed. We will understand if an order is rescinded when the postage cost is too high relative to the product value.
All international orders have contents described as "loose beads" and are flagged as "commercial samples" or " gift" if you prefer to make your life easier when receiving your beads. If you'd like us to mark your order as " gift" instead please let us know!
All our beads are inspected one by one before being shipped. They are individually wrapped to protect them and then put in little plastic ziploc bags.
All vintage beaded jewelry is either shipped in a little gift box tied with a ribbon or in a vintage Chinese embroidered silk purse.

Love my beads! The coloring in the epidote was not as intense as illustrated, but it is certainly a good example of the mineral. The colors in the unakite beads are wonderful. The quality of the carving I would rate as good to excellent.
Nice beads!! Super fast thanks a lot!!!
I have dreamed of having a necklace such as the jade one. But the red one. That was a surprise. Both are beautiful. Thank you! Best, Jane
Lovely color;!interesting stones.
When I thought that I had ordered two of these and then checked out I had to order another set. The seller was very kind and combined my two orders and refunded my shipping.
