This vase is a black, white, brown, and gold decorative vase with 4 gold leaf accents on mid section. Gold clay rope shape accents top, middle, and bottom of the vase that divide the vase into 3 interesting sections. Approximately 7.5 inches high and 6 inches in diameter at its widest point.
The vase is made by attaching polymer clay to a glass vase. The abstract pattern on the vase is made using the "Mokume Gane" method. With this method different colors of flat clay are piled on top of each other and flatten a little bit more. Various tools are used to press into the clay so that the different colors of clay mix together slightly. The clay is then squeezed into a rectangular shape. A 5" blade is used to slice thin pieces off the rectangular piece of clay. The thin pieces were placed on a flat piece of black clay. This clay is placed on the glass vase along with plain black clay, and clay strips that have been twisted to resemble rope. Finally leaf shapes were added to the vase.

Care Instruction: This vase must be washed by hand. Do not use dishwasher. Also, do not leave submerged in water. This could cause the clay to crack or detach from the glass surface.
