My coasters are hand crafted from start to finish. They are carved by hand in high quality Indian Multicolor slate stone. Thick with beautiful varied coloration, making each one a truly original piece of art.

Four coasters in a set. Carved with the Buddha design pictured.
Signed and dated by the internationally collected artist.
Ready for gift giving - bundled with ribbon and hang tag.

Measurements: Each tile is approximately 4 in. x 4 inches and typically 1/4 to 1/2 inches thick.

Made to order - please allow 3-5 days to produce. If you need it faster, let me know and I'll do my best to accommodate. Plus, I'm happy to mix and match existing designs. Feel free to contact me for a special combination.

Inspiration/Story Behind This Product

MY PROCESS:
I begin by personally selecting a master tile. A set is cut from the master tile to retain consistency in color and texture. The edges are smoothed, and a protective varnish is applied.

Each design is carved into the stone by hand. The tiles are not mass manufactured, sandblasted or CNC auto-carved.

The combination of varnish and carving make the slate coasters unique. The varnish enhances the rich colors of the Indian multicolor slate. The carved surface of the slate naturally absorbs moisture, and the weight of the stone prevents the coaster from adhering to the bottom of a glass.

A rubber foam is applied to the bottom of each coaster. I've found it's easily cleaned and dried in case of accidental spills, keeps the coaster firmly in place, and is excellent in protecting delicate furniture surfaces.

Many have commented that these are the best coasters they have ever had
