Amethyst, Jade and Howlite 108 bead mala with guru bead

This mala and bracelet set is hand made with three different semi-precious stones - amethyst, green jade and howlite - with golden bird accents. The bracelets are made of the same material and are exactly one quarter the size of the mala making them the perfect instrument for meditation when you prefer not to use a mala. Simply go around 4 times and you will have completed the 108 cycle.

In Tibet, amethyst is considered sacred to Buddha, possibly due to its ability to activate and balance the 6th chakra called Ajna or the third eye. Ajna is where we meet intuition, insight, self-realization, inspiration, and imagination. Amethyst is said to address impatience, balance high-energy, eliminate chaos, promote clarity, and help keep us grounded.

The ancient Chinese believed jade was the essence of heaven and the earth. Jade helps one cherish ones desires and to build ones dreams in this physical reality, inspiring one to accomplishment.

Malas are a tool you can use to enhance your current meditation practice or to begin one. The repetition of mantra, also known as japa, is a meditation practice that is accessible to beginners yet offers depth to experienced meditators. The word mantra can be broken down into two parts: “man,” which means mind, and “tra,” which means transport or vehicle. In other words, a mantra is an instrument of the mind—a powerful sound or vibration that you can use to enter a deep state of meditation. The repetition of certain sounds is believed to clear energy and align the mind and spirit. Malas, or prayer beads, are a tool that assists us in focusing our mantra meditation, allowing us to gain access to a relaxed mind; thereby, giving rise to deeper truths and clarity of thought. The mantra best suited towards achieving goals and desires is:

Om Sarva Kamadaya Namaha

Inspiration/Story Behind This Product

One day as I was walking through my neighborhood I hear a sparrow sing. It was such a beautiful tune! As I listened I heard the answering call of another sparrow far in the distance. I was reminded of the lyrics from a song that Geoffrey P. Thurman wrote that appears on Amy Grant's album called "Straight Ahead".
Consider the creatures of the air
Jehovah loves them with tender hands
He knows your every care
His touch is always there
To see you through the night
That day I created this mala and bracelet set in honor of our winged friends.
