Sweet Banana Pepper Heirloom variety from Europe Seeds
(pale green > yellow > orange > crimson red) Very dependable. [Introduced 1941.] Heavy yields of attractive, sweet peppers pointed in shape, 6" long, 1-1/2" wide. Eaten at any ripeness stage, but sweetest at the crimson stage. Great for colorful salads, frying, and freezing. A joy to grow because of its dependable high yields and ornamental value.
Medium sized, waxy yellow to orange to red pepper up to 6-8" long. Flavor is quite good when eaten in its ripe yellow state. The Hot Banana is mildly hot in taste.
Profuse bearer of 6-inch-long, medium hot peppers. Excellent for pickling, frying, or roasting. Just hot enough to provide a little bite without scaring away the milder palates in the family.
Produce well even in hot weather. Fruit matures from light yellow to orange to red. Mark these as different from the sweet banana peppers in your garden.

Peppers often like to take their sweet time germinating. They can be up in a week, and some will take almost a month. Even with paper towel germination testing, they can take long. I'm not sure why, but it is a normal occurrence. So plan ahead and make sure you start them early enough! Also remember they like heat to germinate so make sure you have a heating mat or something to keep the soil warm. Placing them up on top of the fridge often works too since it is normally warmer up there.
Peppers do very well grown in pots Or Most container.
Do not plant in same spot more than once every 4 years.
