The end result of a marriage of random ugly duckling pieces, solid white, solid black or a mix of black and white~ most of the pieces I used in this piece were either in need of TLC or boring plain~ the idea was to take a bunch of plain white and plain black, pieces that were nothing special standing alone, but turn them ALL into a WOW piece. And I think I hit the mark with this one. This piece has a wonderful blend of Victorian, 1940s glam, and modern whimsy. I named it "Enchanted" because of the mix of light and dark, as with magic, all things must must have a polar opposite to exist as a whole, and the black feathers are like the raven, a common "familiar" of witches. This piece will certainly turn a great black or white dress or suit into an outfit of fun and delight for the wearer and the onlookers!!

This necklace, as with most of my jewelry pieces, was created from many vintage reclaimed jewelry components. Several bracelets and necklaces were woven and twisted together, connecting them, whenever possible, with their own clasps to keep the original pieces intact. More rings and clasps were used when necessary, as well as some wire and industrial strength adhesive in a few spots to hold everything together in the desired position. I opted to add another larger toggle style clasp to take the necklace on and off from, which is located off to the side. This clasp will easily hold the weight of the piece and will not come loose. The large brooch that was used on one side was one that I had with a bunch of missing stones. Instead of adding black stones back in, I added clear, to keep with the kind of messy haphazard style of the design. Some of the stones I used are very old, and look it. I wanted it to have an "antique" type of sparkle to it, rather than a bright new shiny "pageanty" type sparkle. I deliberately keep both gold tone and silvertone clasps and hardware, to break up the monotony of all silver tone, but the majority of clasps, rings and hardware does have a silvertone coloring. All old rings, clasps and other connectors have been checked for reliability, and any parts that seem not to be wear-worthy are removed and replaced. All stones are checked to make sure they aren't loose, and all vintage components used are throughly inspected to make sure there are no weak spots or spots that may break.

Many hours of work and love were put into this piece, to ensure that it was beautiful as well as wear-worthy~ this piece not only looks fabulous, but is well made using techniques to ensure quality and longevity. I have been making costumes and jewelry for over 20 years, and have learned a lot in that time about how to construct pieces to be long lasting and durable.

I guarantee all my work, and do repairs that may come up without any charge for the entire duration that you own the piece.
If you need to have a piece repaired within the 1st 6 months, we will also cover the cost of return shipping. After that, we do all repair or maintanance work for free, and the buyer only pays for postage. So rest assured that your piece will be taken care of, and that it has been constructed well. That said, my pieces ARE made from vintage and sometimes antique components. So you will want to take care when wearing, dry with clean towel quickly after exposure to water (ie. rain, etc), and store in a safe environment (FYI: cats LOVE to chew up feathers!!)
I have been offering this same guarantee on all my costumes and jewelry for over 10 years and rarely do I get anything back to fix, however, because I do use a lot of antique and vintage components, and some of them have considerable age on them, it can (and will) occasionally happen that something comes loose or a rhinestone falls out.

NOTE about my preowned jewelry: I wipe down all surfaces that come in contact with skin with rubbing alcohol prior to shipping, and then place them in ziplock baggies, to make sure that the items are sterile and safe to wear when you get them.
