This new book from Arcadia / The History Press follows the roots and cycles of alcohol prohibition in Atlanta, beginning with General Oglethorpe's ban of rum when Georgia was first settled as a colony. Local prohibition activities and effects are discussed in the context of the national prohibition movement, and we include the most recent changes in law. As authors, our goal has been to make a difficult and messy subject as approachable as possible.
