Welcome to Silksoap

Hi! My name is Roseanne Sterling and everything I sell is made at home in my kitchen. This is a brand new little shop and I am hopeful that as you try my bath and body products, if you like them, you will write a short review. I use only natural, organic ingredients and many of them I grow in my yard. I also raise tiny, Nigerian Dwarf goats and their luscious, silky milk is used in many of my soaps and lotions. Speaking of silk, I also add Tussah silk to all my soaps just for added luxury. Other ingredients may include coconut oil, olive oil, castor oil, Shea butter, mango butter, cocoa butter, apricot kernel oil, sunflower oil, rice bran oil, avacado oil, sweet almond oil, jojoba oil and essential oils -all organic. I use the traditional, old fashioned cold process method in making soaps which requires a long cure of 4-6 weeks. This adds mildness and rich skin conditioning. I sell all things I make for the simple price of $1 per ounce. Since all of my molds are different size and shape, this seems the easiest and most fair. Also since the nature of homemade is not mass production, some variation in color, shape and size may be noticed. To make sure your soap lasts a long time be sure to allow to drain and dry in between uses. Skin care products are also made of organic herbs, flowers and plants and oils. Though it is rare to have a reaction to natural products, always do a patch test to make sure you are you don’t have allergies. Also I am not a doctor nor do I play one on TV, so if you have any doubts, please contact your Doctor Also no animals nor husbands were harmed in any way making these items. Check back often to see new creations and inspirations. I hope you enjoy using these as much as I do making them and using them myself. God bless! More »
