Red Turquoise Amber Color Natural Stone Earrings Canyon Lands Inspired

Artisan earrings with semiprecious stone beads in Southwest colors: amber colored agate, real turquoise, and red and black poppy jasper. The earthy red, turquoise, and honey colored stones are strung on hand crafted paddle end headpins accented with antiqued sterling silver beads for a Southwest aesthetic. I used medium size pebble beads - free form tumbled shapes - of poppy jasper selecting for deep red color with some black veining. The natural stone pebbles form the base of the earring dangle. The stones are roughly round in shape about 9mm (7/16-inch) in diameter. One of the poppy jasper pebbles is fatter than the other, but in profile in the earrings they match pretty well. Above the red stones I inserted a genuine turquoise rounded chip bead, also free form in shape. The flat shape fills in nicely between the red poppy jasper and the amber colored agate beads. The turquoise chips are a rich turquoise blue almost teal in color. At the top of the earrings is strung a 6mm (about ¼-inch) round agate bead. I selected rich amber colored agates from a strand of "natural red agate" The deep honey colored beads are translucent and when viewed with backlighting, reveal interesting swirls of dark orange and darker brown. The red teal and amber echo colors in the high desert landscape or a western sunset over red rock canyon lands. The Southwest inspired stone earring ornament hangs from my marquise style ear wires crafted of sterling silver. The shape of the ear wires is plain so as not to distract from the pretty stones. The ear wires also tend to stay in place very well with the peak of the marquise shape nestled in the piercing.
