Ladybugs, Butterflies, Dragonflies, Bees... common residents of our gardens and yards, they pollinate flowers and crops, and belong to the largest and most diverse segment of biomass on the planet, approximately 75% of which have evolved flight.

Among the most diverse groups of animals on the planet, including more than a million described species and representing more than half of all known living organisms, insects represent approximately 80 percent of the world's species. Entomologists speculate that there are more insect species that have not been described than there are insect species that have been previously named.

In the language of totems and medicine animals, flying insects not only represent the element of air and mental powers, but each has its own message, which incorporates the environment it lives in, its behavior, and the situation in which it is observed.

Ladybugs - Grace and protection, wishes granted. Ladybug brings luck and security; manifestation after a time of hard work and diligence. Don’t provoke a fight, but make it clear that you will not hesitate to defend yourself.

Butterflies & Moths - Transformation and change are inevitable. Butterflies represent the daylight, physical and mental changes; Moths the moonlight, spiritual and emotional.

Dragonflies - Illusion. We are all spiritual beings having a physical experience; the physical is the illusion, not the other way around.

Bees - Industriousness. Learn how to be part of the whole by communicating effectively and doing your part.

very cool blog post - I did not know the meaning of these little creatures. I know I take them all for granted and should not. Thank you for including my butterfly necklace in with these lovely creatures. Shared Julie and Blu
