Get to Know
Kisufim’ Jewelry continues with the traditions of fine jewelry making passed from generation to generation.
My name is Ari Kasten and I was born in Tel-Aviv in 1965 to a working class family of Holocaust survivors. At the young age of 14 I had to look for a job in order to assist my family. I was lucky enough to get a part time janitorial job at a jeweler who specialized in the design and manufacturing of old-world gold jewelry. Over the years I become an apprentice, and later on I specialized in design and manufacturing.
In 1997 I opened my own workshop, independently manufacturing my designs from the concept stage through to the final product.
Over the years my interest and appreciation of the classic designs of the Renaissance and Victorian eras grew and developed. I’ve traveled the world visiting cities with rich architectural heritage, and some of the world’s most famous museums and art galleries, all of which influences my designs. I strive to preserve the glory of past generations using handmade manufacturing processes passed on from generation to generation.
My jewelry has been on display at shows and large exhibitions all over the world, and is worn by many celebrities. The workshop is named Kisufim (Hebrew for yearning) and is located at the heart of historic Tel Aviv.
All the jewelry are designed and signed by me.
