Originally an attorney, I left the practice of law and now am a knitting designer, writer and dyer. I blog about knitting and other topics at Black Bunny Fibers.com; my articles on technical knitting topics have been published in magazines like Vogue Knitting. My knitting designs appear in magazines such as Vogue Knitting, Interweave Knits, Knit Simple, Knitscene, Noro Magazein, Koigu Magazine, knitty.com and others. I also design for yarn companies and sell patterns via Ravelry. I am the author of Sock Yarn Studio,published in October 2012 by Lark Crafts; look for Lace Yarn Studio, which will be published in April 2015; I also wrote Knitting Socks With Handpainted Yarns and cowrote Knit So Fine. I frequently teach at venues such as VK Live & Stitches, as well as local yarn shops. My experience in the fiber world has made me uniquely suited to create gorgeous, one-of-a-kind yarns and fibers, especially sock yarns and other fine-gauge yarns.
