I got involved with the Breast Cancer Foundation through my daughter, who participated in the Walk for a Cure for several years. I started out just donating as a sponsor for her group, but when one of the gals got cancer, I made her a lap quilt to snuggle with during her treatments. She loved it so much, I began making more, with hopes of giving comfort to others.
My pleasure in giving has since branched out to additional charities.

Skills and Techniques

I thank my quilting group for all their knowledge and techniques they have share with me. Had it not been for them, I'd still be tying my quilts.

Get to Know

Welcome to Nana’s Gifts from the Heart. I have been doing crafts since the 60’s. From needlepoint, to crochet, to mosaics and finally settling on my favorite--quilting. Recently retired, I joined a fabulous quilt group that has inspired me to make quilts for the Linus Project, our local Child Protective Services, the Hope Pregnancy Center and several local retirement/nursing homes. However, my dedication is making Breast Cancer quilts. For each of my quilts sold, I donate to the charity listed in the item description. Thank you for your interest in browsing my shop and feel free to contact me with any questions.
