Skills and Techniques

My favorite techniques are the crocodile stitch, embossed crochet, Tunisian crochet, and lace making. Although I make just about anything and everything, my heart lies with boho and beach wear including wedding pieces.

I do custom work - any piece you see listed can be done in the size and color you want, trims and stitch patterns may be altered on many pieces; You must pay 50% of the full purchase price up front for any custom order over $50. I have access to organic and natural fibers such as cotton, hemp, bamboo, wool, silk and linen. All items are made in a pet friendly, smoke free environment!

I am no longer taking special orders for knit items, but will still be selling knit items of my own choosing. Although I enjoy the process it is not cost effective for my business as I'm not lightening fast at it like I am crochet.

Get to Know

I've been knitting, crocheting and sewing for over 30 years, but my main love is crochet. I decided to give being a professional at it a go in May 2009. I have continued to grow both as an artist and a business manager since then.

As I make and sell off pieces I'm making every effort to replace my current yarn stash with organic, naturally dyed fibers from local spinners in the USA. I believe that the higher price is worth the environmental and economic impact it pays for!

Get Leid For Cancer! was begun in April 2013 and Let's Kill Cancer in March 2014 in order to help the Mooresville Relay For Life Team Becky Vasquez raise money for the American Cancer Society. The name for my business was inspired by all of my furry familiars over the years. They have all been pretty crafty in their own right and always inspire me to stay young, enjoy nature, and play at what I love every day.
