SavvyLadyCreations' Profile

Artist, crafter, gardener, homesteader, and backyard chicken momma, queen bee of all creativity and mistress of some. That is me in a nutshell! I am always involved in a creative project of one kind or another. I admit that I do not stick with anything for long; I flit about toward whatever catches my eye, then off I go again when I get bored. My work reflects this movement in that it is a kind of hodgepodge of whatever I find interesting at the moment.

In the past I have done the fine art thing; mostly drawing and some tight watercolors of pets and local historical buildings; some are signed and numbered limited edition prints of the original. I still do commissions for those interested.

I also make and sell all natural body budder lotion bars for dry winter hands, elbows, knees, and feet. All are made from beeswax, shea butter, and coconut oil with a light essential oil scent (or unscented). You can find these on Etsy at SavvyLadyNaturals.

I just finished my second season as a small local craft show vendor, Savvy Lady Creations, but I am not sure that it is for me so here I am. Currently I create unique seasonal and home décor using found items that I upcycle into works of art and whimsical creations.

A woodburning set that I got as a present last year has me trying my hand at the woodburning world. I have done a lot of free hand lettering projects, but I want to get into more artistic natural scenes and landscapes.

I also do hand lettered 8 x 6 signs with funny sayings as well as tall 36''-48'' seasonal porch signs which I sell at Olde Virginia Gourmet and Gift right here in Stafford, VA, right off I95. See link below.

I have also tried my hand at refinishing furniture for resale with limited success. Oh, and mural painting on the 6 foot fence around my yard and in my son's bedroom! So you see how many shiny objects have caught my eye! There are still a number of things that I want to try my hand at. I am a very "no frills" kind of lady. I am also much less tech savvy than I'd like to be! If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask. I hope that you enjoy my work as much as I enjoy creating it!
